...as is proven over and over and over;
1)skateboarding is not a sport.
it's rebellion and FREEDOM.
it's about doing what you want
and telling "the man" to step off.
2)the people who treat it as a sport
(expecting respect, courtesy, non-smoking,
non-drinking, non-cussing) are more often
than not, quite disappointed.
and history continues to prove these points
again and again. and again.

The Contest is being held at The Swift Wheels Skate Spot, by the Official Swift-Cantrell Skate Park Committee (Adam Wesolowski, Sam Hood, Zak Cochran, and Steve Welsh) on November 22nd. Ambush, Mellow Mushroom, and Drifter are sponsors. For The Record…….Swift Wheels Skateboard Shop & Snack Bar funded (through a pledge to the City Of Kennesaw), the money to have the Swift Wheels Skate Spot built in Swift-Cantrell Park, for the skaters to enjoy a safe (and free) place to skate. One of the reasons it was built was so that the Skate Park Committee members could hold events and contests to raise money for the concrete skate park. Swift Wheels was to be a permanent sponsor. Makes sense right? We are funding the facility and should at least be included on flyers and advertising for the fundraising events. The City thought so too. Levi Dills …who has not been officially appointed to the skatepark committee decided to ask his buddies at Ambush to sponsor a contest (the Mini-Ramp Contest) along with Drifter and Mellow Mushroom …..Swift Wheels was not included and our logo was left off of all the flyers If Swift Wheels had not pledged to fund the Swift Wheels Skate Spot and had it built …no one could hold a contest or event because there would be no skate spot to hold a contest on …. Nor would the local skaters have a skate spot to enjoy in Swift-Cantrell Park. So …now we are hearing Ambush is holding a contest and we’ve been told the skatepark committee is not including our company as a sponsor of the event or our logo on anything. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT SKATE PARK COMMITTEE …We fund a facility for you to fundraise with …and then not only do you hold your first contest with another skateshop …you leave us out altogether …you can’t even be decent enough to put our logo on the contest flyers. It’s hard enough being a small skateshop in this economy without getting kicked by the same people that you helped. I hope the contest is a success and you raise lots of money ….however, this is not the way to treat people and businesses that have supported your fundraising efforts to the extent that Swift Wheels has.
