If the rising gas prices reflect the rising costs of gas production…why have the gas companies posted record high earnings over and over for the past couple years??? could it be that we’re all getting jacked, while the fat oil tycoons are getting fatter? I know “W” has no interest in BIG OIL, yeah??? I saw $4.26 a gallon for premium today. It’s just stupid, whoever you wanna blame it on.

I made my “cut up foot comeback to SPOA” today. I stopped into Skate Shop Of Athens on the way home…rick was trying to figure out how I was keyboarding on the messageboards from the skatepark.

answer: I wasn’t.

second answer: I don’t.

the only skateboard related keyboarding I do, is right here on my website. I DO NOT waste my time on any of the message boards. It’s not my thing…

 ANYONE can add pictures!!! (yes, YOU!) this goes for the whole Georgiaskater photo section. We aim to share the STOKE with the entire State of Georgia.

We have Regional photo sections. we wanna see your Ramps, Pools, Bowls, Banks…and YES, that Gnar set of Stairs, Rails, Ditch…if you think it’s GNAR, send it on. preeciate it!

we want photos of skaters/skatespots in georgia…and photos of Georgia Skaters riding elsewhere. whenever, wherever…if it’s GeorgiaSkating, It’s ALL GOOD!

Register, Log-In, and follow the easy “Upload File” directions. add titles/names, captions, etc. please, keep it nice.<G> Georgiaskater tries not to be steppin on nobody’s toes…we just skateboarding, yo.

a few tips…

1)when uploading/placing a photo, make sure to click the correct gallery, such as “Concrete Rodeo 2008″.

2)pleasde add a brief photo caption and description. people like to know who/what/where they’re seeing!

3)resize your pictures to a smaller “e-mail size”. nobody likes clicking a “picture” and seeing a huge eyeball, yeah? size limit is set to 500kb. PLEASE, try to make sure when viewing the picture at 100%, it fits in your screen. (your kid knows what I’m talking about!)

I check the site daily and approve new photo uploads…so you may have to wait a little bit until your photos are “approved”. don’t stress, they’ll show up. I don’t judge photos…if you think it belongs somewhere on the website, it’s in. heck, we’ve even got the big wheeler busting aires… (I’m just trying to keep the bad people away.)

the only “rule” I have, is SPOA riders need to wear their helmets in posted pictures. since after all,  it IS the LAW…and the smartest decision a parent can make for their kids. it just takes ONE good WHACK on the concrete…

so, upload you own pictures, add your own captions…come’on, give it a shot…if you send it to the wrong gallery or spell a name wrong, or WHATEVER, send me an email, and I’ll get in there and fix it for you. cause I can do that stuff. We’ll get it figured out.<G>

On the Athens local side-

Kai finished 1st in the Under 8

Connor was 1st and Kaden 3rd in the 9-10 Group.  They were killing that pool coping and hitting serious airs in the pool and the flow bowl.  Zion had some great runs as well representing the BR locals.

Lindsea finished 3rd in the Ladies Division.

mason and pierce got ice cream from the ice cream man — so it was a good day in the ATL

Duncan creek may be a little delayed as the finishing touches are
places on all facilities and the signal is installed at the entrance.
I do not have an exact date yet, but would expect it would be between
mid-May and mid- June.  There are currently no skateparks in design in
Gwinnett.
