The April opening date has been pushed back until perhaps early MAY. Recently, numerous GROWN ADULTS have been caught barging the park, so now they have to take extra time to re-think park staffing, security, etc…

so if you know the guys who have been trespassing, tell them “thank you”.

From ACC Leisure Services Department…

The Athens-Clarke County Department of Leisure Services will host public meetings in March regarding the department’s Comprehensive Master Plan.

The public meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at Clarke Middle School located at 1235 Baxter Street, and Wednesday, March 19 at Hilsman Middle School, located at 870 Gaines School Road. The meetings will take place 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Citizens throughout the community are encouraged to attend and learn more about the department’s first master plan since 1994. The public will learn about the master plan process as well as have the opportunity to offer ideas and opinions on the future direction of the community’s parks, recreational facilities, and programs. Please plan to attend.
